From this enthusiasm I have worked with Ms. Meredith Monk on her many productions, such as “the Vessel” an Epic at Schaubühne, West Berlin, Weat Germany “The Games” directed by M. Monk and Ping Chong or “Education of the Girlchild” in NYC. I also have worked for global theatre project of Mr. Robert Wilson “the CIVIL WarS” or for his experimental Shakespeare variation of “King Lear” At the same time I worked for German theatre makers as well, “Three Penny Opera” directed by Hans-Peter Cloos at the Theatre Bouffe du Nord, Paris, “die Rassen” directed Mr. Thomas Reichart in Frankfurt aM., “King Lear” one another version Shakespeare tragedy directed by Mr. Jürgen Flimm in Cologne. “Antonius and Cleopatra” directed by Mr. Hans Neuenfels at the Berliner Freier Volksbühne and so on. In the middle of 80´s I did have some special productions for children or teenagers at the “Grips Theater” Berlin, such as a German rock musical, “Linie 1” or “Ab Heute Heisst Du Sara” In the end 80´s I went to New York, there I worked mainly on numerous dance projects with Ms. Susan Marchal, Mr. Lance Gries and also Ms. M. Monk, I created visual art direction for her opera “Atlas” at the Houston Grand Opera and for her feature film “Book of Days” In early 90´s I got a chance to work on many commissions for ballet, dramatic works as well opera projects such as “Carmen”, Othero”, “Mahagony” or “Samson et Dallila”. Middle 90´´s I returned to live in Berlin again, because of Berlin Wall fell down. Since then I am expanding my repertoires to revues, musicals, films and commercials as well as arts projects in Europe, USA, and Japan. “Don Giovanni”, “La Nocce di Figaro” at Staatsoper ter den Linden with Mr. Daniel Barenboim, “Oedips Rex” by Tadashi Suzuki, “Madame de Sad” at the SPAC, Shizuoka, Japan. FILM Since I had worked for the first time in my life for the film the “Tin Drum”, I ddesigned costumes for 12 German feature films such as “Das Versprechen directed by M. von Trotta, “Bin Ich Schön” and „Nackt“ by Ms. Doris Dörrie. TEACHING I am very much interested in works with younger people. I had a chance to teach as a guest professor at the Mozarteum, Salzburg, Austria. I am a father of a daughter, who studies stage and costume design in University der Künste, Berlin. Link http://www.meredithmonk.org
